Bespoke Concrete and Muck Skips
Conquip have made many specialist skips for different companies, all built to fit the exact requirements of our customers.
Below is just a couple of examples of how Conquip provided a workable solution to a company needing something a little bit different....
Case Study - Flexibility.
A pre-cast company came to Conquip with a requirement for a skip that could be used both with a forklift and a crane.
They also required a skip flexible enough to be used as a column skip with a rubber trunk and as a mass pour skip with a chute.
The Conquip team designed a skip with a modified gate to accommodate different types of pouring systems as seen in the photos, the gate system was designed so that each gate attachment could slide on or off easily minimising the need for tools and downtime.
After working closely with our customer the designs were confirmed and an order for 2# 1000 litre skips was placed.
Whilst being simple in design these skips have proved very effective for their specific requirement and the feedback from the customer was very positive.

They Have to be TOUGH!
Our customer had been chosen to supply all equipment needed for a Russian pre-cast concrete factory. He had looked everywhere for 5 concrete skips that matched the Russians specifications but was unsuccessful. Then he called Conquip, from concept to completion we designed and manufactured a skip to their specification, all of this completed at our UK facilities in Alton, Hampshire.
Some of the specification required included:
Rubber Lined Gate - Needed to contain the particularly runny slump of concrete being handled. Because of the unique way in which the gate shuts it not only seals the gate but minimises the effects of handling such an abrasive substance as concrete.

Toggle locking system - Ensured that the gate was not only fully pressed in the closed position but that the gate could not be accidentally opened during transport.
- 5mm Steel Construction - These skips were in for a rough ride, it was specified that the construction should be made from 5mm steel, of course we obliged and the end result was sturdy to say the least.
- Off Set Chute - To enable the operative to pour right up against walls and building frames.
Our customer came to view the skips before we loaded them for delivery and needless to say was very satisfied with the build quality and operation of the skips but also impressed by the timescale in which we manufactured the skips.
