Good Causes to Support:
Conquip-Group have supported many charitable events over the last few years but have kept our involvement discreet, Conquip-Group would now like to help a little more to raise awareness for these good causes.
Below is some info about charitiies we have recently supported and a link to donate if you wish.
Mongol Rally
Henry Stephenson and Hugh Stainton are attempting to complete the Mongol Rally to raise money for two charities.
Firstly they are supporting the Christina Noble Children's foundation (CNCF), which has a variety of projects in Mongolia that change the lives of kids who have often been given a pretty rough hand in life. The funds from the Mongol Rally support the running costs of the incredible Blue Skies Ger Village in Ulaan Bataar, the capital of Mongolia. The Ger Village houses abandoned or homeless children and gives them a new chance in life with a safe place to live, education, and all the support of a family with their innovative techniques. http://www.cncf.org/en/home/index.php
They are also supporting a local charity Challenje21, this aims to raise £21,000 for Disability Challengers. All children need to play, but for disabled children it is essential to help them reach their full potential. Disability Challengers provides numerous play schemes for disabled children from across the South East.

3 Peaks Walk
Garry Kilmartin and around 30 other people are set to attempt the 3 Peaks Walk to raise money for a diagnostic scope to locate kidney cancer at an earlier stage than currently possible. Garry Kilmartin who himself recovered from kidney cancer aims to raise £25,000 for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation - Registered charity number 1075308.
By donating money to this cause you are giving patients a greater chance of recovery and lessening the worry and anguish at having to wait for the cancer to be big enough for current diagnostic scopes to locate.

Chernobyl Children's Life Line.
We were approached to donate towards a golfing event with all proceeds given to the Mid Suffolk Link of the Chernobyl Childrens Life Line, this is a somewhat forgotten charity, as many people have never heard of the Chernobyl Disaster which occurred in 1986, however the effects of the fallout will last for hundreds of years and the everyone living in the affected areas have to deal with radiation every day. The main focus of this charity is to bring children over to the UK for 4 weeks, Once the children have arrived in this country they spend the first couple of days with their host family and are given a party where they collect clothes and footwear which have been kindly donated (as most of the children have no belongings when they arrive) and they have visits to the local doctor, dentist and optician. The time spent over here is a welcome relief from the harsh conditions these children normally have to endure.
